Welcome to Third Grade!
Welcome to third grade at Brown International Elementary School!
I am so grateful to be part of such an amazing school and community and I am eager to get the new school year going! I hope to make this page a convenient way to share the fun and learning that happens in our classroom over the course of the school year. I am eager to learn more about you and your child. I feel that through our combined friendship and communication, you and I, together, can make this a positive and meaningful school experience for everyone involved. Please take a few minutes to complete the Getting to Know Your Child page. |
About the Teacher
My name is Diane Guerrero-Even and this is my 17th year teaching elementary school in Denver Public Schools.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, and I we are the very proud parents of two beautiful girls, Grace, 12 years old, and Ruby, who turned eleven this summer. Grace is a seventh grader at Skinner Middle School this year and Ruby is a sixth grader at GALS. Both girls have been members of the Brown Community since they started their school careers in Mrs. Nelsons' ECE class. Mr. Even is an elementary music teacher in Jefferson County and plays guitar in a rock and roll band. We love to play board games, go camping, biking and take "epic" road trips during the summer months. We try to make the most of the family time that we have together.
I graduated from Denver's very own Metro State with a Bachelors degree in behavioral science, a minor in Special Education and a teaching license in elementary education. I received my Masters Degree in education from Leslie University in Cambridge Mass and I am constantly furthering my knowledge in education and the IB through workshops and classes.
Education is not my job but my craft and being a teacher is what I have ALWAYS wanted to be.
